Ok, so that video did not show me anything new, I know we have a lot of clueless-about-the-news teenagers, but they are too wrapped up in their world of Grades, getting into college, and social life. They are not adults yet and their world unfortunately does not include adult themes such as politics. I am not saying that teenagers are all unaware of what goes on outside their little high school world, I am saying that it is not completely a part of their everyday lives yet, but some pay attention to it anyway.
I believe that since Americans, on average, are wealthier than citizens of many other countries, our morals are different. We value entertainment over truth (example: “The Real World”). So when the media is searching for material what are they going to choose, the truth, or what we want to hear? Considering the amount of money that is spent on the material products and services out there (plastic surgery is a 1.3 billion dollar industry) the people that choose what goes out in the media know our real interests and they want to occupy the television and etc. with our superficial interests instead of what we should be watching. Like “I love Lucy”…what ever happened to those re-runs?
I have so much more to say but I think I’ve gone on long enough…let me go back to watching “Super Sweet 16” opps I mean the news…

Regina, i think you watched a video that I put up for my 1101 classes. Please read the titles so you know what to comment on. Your class was supposed to comment on the movie we watched. I will give you credit this time, but not next time.
